INDUSTRIES
Every hour a production line is down costs money, and every product that leaves your facility carries risk that follows it out the door. We build insurance programs for manufacturers around keeping the line running and standing behind what you produce.
Claims that a product you made caused injury or damage can surface long after the product has shipped, sometimes years later.
Production equipment represents significant capital investment, and mechanical or electrical failure can halt output as fast as a fire would.
Production floor environments carry injury risk well above a typical office, directly affecting your workers' compensation exposure.
A disruption at a key supplier can shut down your production just as effectively as damage to your own facility.
Vehicles delivering product or moving materials between facilities carry liability and physical damage risk.
Manufacturing processes often involve materials or byproducts that create environmental liability standard policies exclude.
Let’s review your contracts and coverage together before you’re exposed to risk you didn’t plan for.
Our advisors know the realities of running a facility — equipment, supply chains, and safety — so recommendations are grounded in how manufacturing actually works.
Equipment breakdown and business interruption get the same attention as property and liability, because downtime is often the real cost of a loss.
When something happens, we advocate for you through the entire claims process — not just at renewal.
From a single facility to multi-site operations, we tailor coverage to where your business is today and where it's headed.
1
We learn your products, your production process, your supply chain, and your current coverage and claims history.
2
We identify gaps — equipment values, supply chain exposure, product liability limits — before they become a problem on the line or after a claim.
3
We place your program with carriers who understand manufacturing risk, balancing coverage, service, and cost.
4
We review your program as your product lines and operations change, and support you through claims when they arise.
Most manufacturers need general liability, product liability, commercial property, equipment breakdown, and workers’ compensation at minimum. What else you need depends on your process — pollution liability matters more for some manufacturing processes than others, and business interruption limits should reflect your actual supply chain exposure.
General liability covers third-party injury or property damage tied to your operations and premises — a visitor getting hurt at your facility, for example. Product liability specifically covers claims that a product you manufactured caused injury or damage after it left your facility, which is a distinct and often more significant exposure for a manufacturer.
Standard property insurance typically covers events like fire and storm, but the sudden mechanical or electrical failure of equipment — a motor burning out, a control system failing — is often excluded and needs its own coverage. Given how directly equipment failure affects your ability to produce, this is worth confirming rather than assuming it’s included.
Business interruption coverage can be structured to respond to a disruption at a key supplier, not just damage to your own facility, but this needs to be specifically built into your policy — it’s not automatic. We review your supply chain as part of structuring this coverage correctly.
Many manufacturers carry more environmental exposure than they realize, simply through the materials, byproducts, or waste involved in a normal production process. Standard general liability typically excludes pollution claims entirely, so it’s worth a specific review rather than an assumption either way.
